C-USA announces preseason picks

Conference USA announced it's Preseason All-Conference Team and Preseason Coaches Poll, the league office announced Wednesday.
Junior wide receiver Duke Calhoun and senior offensive tackle Brandon Pearce were named to C-USA's All-Conference First Team.
Calhoun, 6-4, led the Tigers in receiving last season with 890 yards and five touchdowns on 62 receptions. He currently ranks seventh in career receiving yards with 1,571 and eighth in receptions with 104.
Pearce, who was also named to the league's all-conference team prior to last season, helped the Tigers offensive line that only gave up 14 sacks all year, which ranked 10th nationally.
According to C-USA coaches, Memphis is predicted to finish fourth in the East Division behind Central Florida, East Carolina and Southern Mississippi. UCF is expected to win the East while Tulsa, Houston and University of Texas-El Paso round out the top three in the West.
