In an effort to uphold her promise that The University of Memphis women's basketball team will soon become the class of Conference USA, coach Melissa McFerrin added yet another player to the Tigers' already-impressive 2010 recruiting class. Sharee "KK" Harvey, a 6-foot-2 post player from Mesquite, Texas, became McFerrin's first signee for the 2010-11 season when she signed a National Letter of Intent yesterday.

The University of Memphis received two National Letters of Intent yesterday from local high school seniors Joe Jackson and Chris Crawford, starting off what first-year coach Josh Pastner called a "stellar recruiting class." "Having Crawford and Jackson is humongous for this program," Pastner said.

After hearing news of Tommy West's dismissal earlier in the week, The University of Memphis football team will try to put that behind them as they square off against Conference USA rival UAB for their last home contest at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. The Blazers (4-5, 3-2 C-USA) come to Memphis riding a two-game win streak with victories over UTEP and Florida Atlantic.
